You have just discovered BandSix and want to become a member! Here are some simple directions to make the service even easier.
Step 1 - Signup for an account
When signing up fill in your details not your parent’s details. Enter a current e-mail address (preferably not a hotmail account) and enter the credit card details.
Press “signup” ONCE ONLY! And wait until a receipt opens in the browser window. Do NOT press STOP or Refresh. If you press the button more than once you will be billed a second time.
A receipt will open up in your browser.
Step 2 - Your profile
Once you have filled in your profile information you can start to download the study notes!
Step 3 - Downloading notes
Navigate through the Subjects page to the desired subject. Click on the Subject Name. Now click on the name of the set of notes you wish to download. A new page will open with the name of the set of notes in bold. A brief description of the notes will appear below the title. The cost of the notes in terms of credits will also appear on the left hand side.
To download notes you must have Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you do not have this program DO NOT attempt to Download notes. Click on the “Get Adobe Reader” icon on the left hand side. Install the program. To download the notes click on the “Purchase this document” icon below the credit cost. Click on the icon ONCE.
Wait patiently until the notes can be viewed in the current window. REMEMBER… If you have a dial up connection or your internet is slow you will need to wait longer. Some documents are very large which will require some time to load. Do not press Stop. Do not press Refresh. Or you will be billed a second time.
Make Sure your printer is turned on and has enough paper in it. Now click the print icon. Do not click Save. Click Print so you have a hard copy of the Study Notes.
Step 4 - Buy credits
To purchase additional credits click on the Buy Credits icon on the menu bar on the left hand side. (Note you must be a current BandSix member to purchase additional credits.) Select the amount of credits you wish to purchase and click the purchase icon ONCE. If you press the button more than once you will be billed multiple times. Wait patiently and a receipt will open in the browser window. Remember if you internet connection is slow you will need to wait longer.
